The 10 short films featured in the Facing Change Exhibition were produced by Sam Whelan-Curtin and Fiona Murphy including footage by Myles Shelly. The films demonstrate the impact of some of the work resulting from the collaboration between Government and Genio and highlight the experiences of people who have been supported to live as independently as possible in their own communities. Some of the stories also explore how appropriate, personalised supports in the community enabled people to avoid institutional care. The stories explore both the challenges and achievements experienced by each person and their families. Each film is about 1min 30 seconds and profiles inspiring people with disabilities, mental health difficulties and dementia from across Ireland.
